The Wolf Tooth 104 BCD Drop-Stop B chainring uses the more common center distance on double and triple cranksets, and happens to be the first product ever made by Wolf Tooth Components. It features Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop-Stop design for optimum chain life, retention and mud clearance.Product advantages Suitable for all cranksets with a center distance (BCD) of 104 mm. Drop-Stop technology: on Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainrings, the wide side of the tooth makes maximum contact with the drive side, spreading the load and improving chainring life. The Narrow side provides clearance for mud and debris, reducing friction. Alternating wide/narrow teeth prevent chain derailment.Details Tooth profile: Drop-Stop B. If you’re using a chainring guard, you’ll need 8 mm screws (most original screws on triple cranksets are 8 mm). All 104 BCD chainring sizes are compatible with Quarq power sensors. The 30-tooth chainring has a relief notch to meet the minimum internal diameter requirements of the Quarq power sensor. Drop-Stop B is optimized for Sram 12-speed Transmission (T-Type) and Road Flattop chains, but is compatible with all chains that work with Drop-Stop A.Recommendations If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, the brand recommends using a chain guide or chain guard in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you risk chain jumping and/or suction.
