In addition to biomechanical performance, there was one more important factor when designing our Q-Rings: compatibility. New Direct Mount Q-Rings allow you to upgrade your Race Face Cinch crankset to go oval. The simplified one-piece design saves approximately 40 grams compared to standard ring spider and bolts combination (for example, weight savings for a 32t ring is 40g). Direct Mount oval chainrings can be dialed in to take advantage of the most-powerful part of your pedal stroke to give you faster acceleration and better traction when you need it most.How does it work ?The Q-Rings reduce the detrimental effect of the dead point due to their oval shape. The crown is at its lowest level when the dead point arrives, which makes it possible to pass it less forcefully, more quickly, more flexibly.
