The assembly procedure is identical for Deore, SLX and XT cranks. Use the 1X Shimano M8 chainring bolts supplied with the crank and tighten them to approximately 7 Nm. If you are upgrading from a 2X to a 1X chainring and want to fit a 30T absoluteBLACK chainring, you must buy 1X Shimano bolts for this crank, as the 2X bolts are too short. Other chainring sizes can use Shimano 2X bolts.
